Description

Partner countries have experienced devastating effects of global warming, including extreme temperatures, droughts, floods, and forest fires. In response, our project aims to address environmental challenges and educate students about the climate crisis. Through international collaboration, students will explore their carbon footprint, renewable energy sources, and participate in environmental events. A SWOT analysis revealed gaps in students' understanding of climate issues, with many lacking knowledge about the causes of climate-related events. Our project seeks to enhance environmental education, promote recycling, and raise awareness about sustainable consumption. Additionally, we aim to empower teachers with resources and strategies to integrate climate action into their classrooms, ultimately fostering a community-wide commitment to environmental protection.

Objectives

- Educate students about climate change and start a recycling program and an energy and water conservation project for our students.

- Improve knowledge about sustainable consumption and environmental protection among students and in local communities.

- Actively engage students in the learning process.

- Activate parents and the local community to take action against climate change

- Actions to raise awareness about environmental pollution, which is the common problem of all European countries.

- Enriching the curriculum, getting to know new web tools and developing digital competences

- Develop an awareness of how limited our energy sources are and why we should save energy.

- Recognize how important water is to life.

- Take responsibility for the sustainable development of the world.
