Description

Climate change, evident in the Earth's shifting global climate, poses severe threats to the environment and human life. Scientific assessments confirm that human activities are significantly contributing to this phenomenon. With rising temperatures, melting glaciers, and extreme weather events, the urgency to address climate change is paramount. Recognizing the crucial role of education in tackling this global challenge, our partnership from Slovakia, Italy, Netherlands, and Turkey collaborates on a project aimed at raising awareness and fostering action among students and teachers. Through courses provided by GEC, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to become agents of change in their communities. By understanding the causes and effects of climate change, students will advocate for solutions and engage in local and global initiatives. Empowered with environmental consciousness, they will influence others to adopt sustainable lifestyles. The project's output, a "Climate Change Good Practices Booklet," will serve as a resource for promoting sustainable societies in line with the European Green Consensus. Ultimately, our collective efforts strive to safeguard our planet for future generations.

This project focuses on awareness of climate change by teachers and students, thus societies, and developing a sustainable green lifestyle. The STOP SAVE SURVIVE project, it is aimed to integrate climate change and environmental education into the curriculum for long-term impact and develop new environmental attitudes and behaviors.
